Homemade Muesli
Yield: 9 servings; serving size: ½ cup

cup mixed-grain oats or quick-cooking rolled oats

cup whole-grain flakes or bran cereal
·
1
cup dried cranberries or mixed dried fruit bits
·
1/3
cup slivered almonds
·
¼
cup firmly packed brown sugar
·
½
teaspoon ground cinnamon
·
3
cups skim milk
In
a large bowl, combine all ingredients except milk. Transfer to an airtight container.
For
each serving, place about 1/3 cup oat mixture in a cereal bowl. Stir in 1/3 cup skim milk; let stand 5
minutes to allow oats to soften before serving.
